雅各家啊，岂可说耶和华的心不忍耐吗？这些事是他所行的吗？我耶和华的言语岂不是与行动正直的人有益吗？

雅各家啊，可这么说吗？耶和华没有耐心吗？这些事是他所行的吗？我的言语岂不是与行动正直的人有益吗？

雅各家啊，你们怎能说：“耶和华已经不耐烦了吗？祂会做这些事吗？”“我的话岂不有益于行为正直的人吗？

雅各家啊！人怎可说：“耶和华的心着急，（按照《马索拉文本》，“耶和华的心着急”直译是“耶和华的灵是短的吗”）不能忍耐呢？这些是他的作为吗？”我耶和华的话对行事正直的人不是有益的吗？

雅各家啊，豈可說耶和華的心不忍耐嗎？這些事是他所行的嗎？我－耶和華的言語豈不是與行動正直的人有益嗎？

雅各家啊，可這麼說嗎？耶和華沒有耐心嗎？這些事是他所行的嗎？我的言語豈不是與行動正直的人有益嗎？

雅各家歟、豈可曰耶和華之神褊急乎、此事豈彼所為、我言非有益於正行者乎、

吁哉、爾雅各之家、何出此言、耶和華之神、豈不甚盛、斯災豈耶和華所常行乎、為義之人、必以我言為有益、

雅各族歟、豈可言主易於震怒乎、或作爾稱為雅各族者歟主豈不含忍乎斯事豈主所常行乎、主曾言、我言必於行正直者有益、

You descendants of Jacob, should it be said,“ Does the Lord become impatient? Does he do such things?”“ Do not my words do good to the one whose ways are upright?

People of Jacob, should anyone say,“ The Lord is patient, so he wouldn’t do things like that”? The Lord replies,“ What I promise brings good things to those who lead honest lives.

Should this be said, O house of Jacob? Has the Lord grown impatient? Are these his deeds? Do not my words do good to him who walks uprightly?

Should you talk that way, O family of Israel? Will the Lord’s Spirit have patience with such behavior? If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting.

House of Jacob, should it be asked,“ Is the Spirit of the LORD impatient? Are these the things he does?” Don’t my words bring good to the one who walks uprightly?

Is it being said, house of Jacob:‘ Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these His works?’ Do My words not do good For the one walking rightly?

You who are named the house of Jacob:“ Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good To him who walks uprightly?

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

House of Jacob, should it be asked,“ Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these the things He does?” Don’t My words bring good to the one who walks uprightly?

O[ thou that art] named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened?[ are] these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

Does the family of Jacob say,‘ The LORD’s patience can’t be exhausted– he would never do such things’? To be sure, my commands bring a reward for those who obey them,

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob:“ Is Yahweh’s Spirit angry? Are these his doings? Don’t my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?”

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. (niv)

The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; (niv)

When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty. (niv)

When I came, why was there no one? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Was my arm too short to deliver you? Do I lack the strength to rescue you? By a mere rebuke I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert; their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst. (niv)

“ Abraham is our father,” they answered.“ If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus,“ then you would do what Abraham did. (niv)

We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. (niv)

“ Listen to this, you descendants of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel and come from the line of Judah, you who take oaths in the name of the Lord and invoke the God of Israel— but not in truth or righteousness—you who call yourselves citizens of the holy city and claim to rely on the God of Israel— the Lord Almighty is his name: (niv)

I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word.I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me.How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! So he said to me,“ This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:‘ Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. (niv)

Hear this, you leaders of Jacob, you rulers of Israel, who despise justice and distort all that is right; (niv)

A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God. (niv)

The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless, but it is the ruin of those who do evil. (niv)

Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. (niv)

The one whose walk is blameless is kept safe, but the one whose ways are perverse will fall into the pit. (niv)

“ Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion and to the descendants of Jacob their sins. (niv)

The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward. (niv)

He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, (niv)

having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. (niv)

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. (niv)

Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them. (niv)

The Lord answered Moses,“ Is the Lord’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.” (niv)

Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in your law.It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. (niv)

Whoever fears the Lord walks uprightly, but those who despise him are devious in their ways. (niv)

It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary,“ It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.For this was how the promise was stated:“ At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”Not only that, but Rebekah’s children were conceived at the same time by our father Isaac.Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad— in order that God’s purpose in election might stand:not by works but by him who calls— she was told,“ The older will serve the younger.”Just as it is written:“ Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.” (niv)

Hear the word of the Lord, you descendants of Jacob, all you clans of Israel. (niv)

Do good to your servant according to your word, Lord. (niv)

Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it used what is good to bring about my death, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful. (niv)

If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life. (niv)

Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. (niv)
