Arise, and depart! For this is not your resting place, because of uncleanness that destroys, even with a grievous destruction.

爾起而往、此非爾安息之所、污穢必敗壞之、其敗壞甚矣、

爾行穢濁、污衊斯土、故不得安居、當往他方、遭禍不淺、

爾曹當起而往、此非爾安居之地、因污穢故、必翦滅爾、翦滅殆盡、

Get up, go away! For this is not your resting place, because it is defiled, it is ruined, beyond all remedy.

Get up! Leave this land! It is no longer your resting place. You have made it‘ unclean.’ You have completely destroyed it.

Arise and go, for this is no place to rest, because of uncleanness that destroys with a grievous destruction.

Up! Begone! This is no longer your land and home, for you have filled it with sin and ruined it completely.

Get up and leave, for this is not your place of rest because defilement brings destruction— a grievous destruction!

“ Arise and depart, For this is not your rest; Because it is defiled, it shall destroy, Yes, with utter destruction.

Get up and leave, for this is not your place of rest, because defilement brings destruction— a grievous destruction!

But you are the ones who will be forced to leave! For this land is not secure! Sin will thoroughly destroy it!

for you haven’t yet come to the rest and to the inheritance which Yahweh your God gives you.

They shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. The land was polluted with blood.

He carried those who had escaped from the sword away to Babylon, and they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia,to fulfill Yahweh’s word by Jeremiah’s mouth, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. As long as it lay desolate, it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

Therefore I swore in my wrath,“ They won’t enter into my rest.”

In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.

For Yahweh says,“ Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this time, and will distress them, that they may feel it.”

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will soon utterly perish from off the land which you go over the Jordan to possess it. You will not prolong your days on it, but will utterly be destroyed.

It shall happen that as all the good things have come on you of which Yahweh your God spoke to you, so Yahweh will bring on you all the evil things, until he has destroyed you from off this good land which Yahweh your God has given you,when you disobey the covenant of Yahweh your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods, and bow down yourselves to them. Then Yahweh’s anger will be kindled against you, and you will perish quickly from off the good land which he has given to you.”

I declare to you today that you will surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you pass over the Jordan to go in to possess it.

Let’s fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said,“ As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day,“ God rested on the seventh day from all his works;”and in this place again,“ They will not enter into my rest.”Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,he again defines a certain day, today, saying through David so long a time afterward( just as has been said),“ Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

then I will cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and I will cast this house, which I have made holy for my name, out of my sight; and Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

“‘ Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.The land was defiled. Therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native- born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you( for the men of the land that were before you had done all these abominations, and the land became defiled),that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

then I will pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have made holy for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

“‘ You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and do them, that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out.You shall not walk in the customs of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.But I have said to you,“ You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am Yahweh your God, who has separated you from the peoples.“‘ You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean. You shall not make yourselves abominable by animal, or by bird, or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have separated from you as unclean for you.You shall be holy to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.

For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion,‘ How we are ruined! We are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.’”

Yes, I will cause men to walk on you, even my people Israel. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance, and you will never again bereave them of their children.”“‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Because they say to you,‘ You are a devourer of men, and have been a bereaver of your nation;’therefore you shall devour men no more, and not bereave your nation any more,” says the Lord Yahweh.

In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away to Assyria, and placed them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

“ Lift up your eyes to the bare heights, and see! Where have you not been lain with? You have sat waiting for them by the road, as an Arabian in the wilderness. You have polluted the land with your prostitution and with your wickedness.
