Woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds! At morning’s light they carry it out because it is in their power to do it.

How terrible it will be for those who plan to harm others! How terrible for those who make evil plans before they even get out of bed! As soon as daylight comes, they carry out their plans. That’s because they have the power to do it.

Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil on their beds! When the morning dawns, they perform it, because it is in the power of their hand.

What sorrow awaits you who lie awake at night, thinking up evil plans. You rise at dawn and hurry to carry them out, simply because you have the power to do so.

Woe to those who dream up wickedness and prepare evil plans on their beds! At morning light they accomplish it because the power is in their hands.

Woe to those who devise wrongdoing, Who practice evil on their beds! When morning comes, they do it, Because it is in the power of their hands.

Those who devise sinful plans are as good as dead, those who dream about doing evil as they lie in bed. As soon as morning dawns they carry out their plans, because they have the power to do so.

He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himself in a way that is not good. He doesn’t abhor evil.

A worthless person, a man of iniquity, is he who walks with a perverse mouth,who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet, who motions with his fingers,in whose heart is perverseness, who devises evil continually, who always sows discord.Therefore his calamity will come suddenly. He will be broken suddenly, and that without remedy.There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him:arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief,a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.

The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked plans to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.

There is one gone out of you, who devises evil against Yahweh, who counsels wickedness.

For they have prepared their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their baker sleeps all the night. In the morning it burns as a flaming fire.They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges. All their kings have fallen. There is no one among them who calls to me.

It is in the power of my hand to hurt you, but the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying,‘ Be careful that you don’t speak to Jacob either good or bad.’

Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people. Your eyes will look, and fail with longing for them all day long. There will be no power in your hand.

Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity. Your lips have spoken lies. Your tongue mutters wickedness.

Behold, he travails with iniquity. Yes, he has conceived mischief, and brought out falsehood.He has dug a hole, and has fallen into the pit which he made.The trouble he causes shall return to his own head. His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.

backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Then they said,“ Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”

Jesus answered,“ You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin.”

For they don’t sleep unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall.

Now therefore, you with the council inform the commanding officer that he should bring him down to you tomorrow, as though you were going to judge his case more exactly. We are ready to kill him before he comes near.”

A good man shall obtain favor from Yahweh, but he will condemn a man of wicked plans.

The chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.Satan entered into Judas, who was also called Iscariot, who was counted with the twelve.He went away, and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.They were glad, and agreed to give him money.He consented, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.

When it was day, some of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.

Haman said to King Ahasuerus,“ There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom, and their laws are different from other people’s. They don’t keep the king’s laws. Therefore it is not for the king’s profit to allow them to remain.

Deliver me, Yahweh, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man:those who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war.They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Viper’s poison is under their lips. Selah.Yahweh, keep me from the hands of the wicked. Preserve me from the violent men who have determined to trip my feet.The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah.I said to Yahweh,“ You are my God.” Listen to the cry of my petitions, Yahweh.Yahweh, the Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle.Yahweh, don’t grant the desires of the wicked. Don’t let their evil plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah.

Immediately in the morning the chief priests, with the elders and scribes, and the whole council, held a consultation, bound Jesus, carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate.

He said to me,“ Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity, and who give wicked counsel in this city;

The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people— for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.

Then Zeresh his wife and all his friends said to him,“ Let a gallows be made fifty cubits high, and in the morning speak to the king about hanging Mordecai on it. Then go in merrily with the king to the banquet.” This pleased Haman, so he had the gallows made.

Now when morning had come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him up to Pontius Pilate, the governor.

but when this became known to the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked plan, which he had planned against the Jews, should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
