先知曰、我必哀哭、解衣去履、我必號呼、若暴獸野犬、

先知曰、緣此我必哀痛哭泣、必跣足裸體而行、必哀鳴若豺狼、豺狼或作野犬號呼若鴕鳥、

I will weep and mourn because Samaria will be destroyed. I’ll walk around barefoot and naked. I’ll bark like a wild dog. I’ll hoot like an owl.

For this I will lament and wail; I will go stripped and naked; I will make lamentation like the jackals, and mourning like the ostriches.

Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

For this reason I will mourn and wail; I will walk around barefoot and without my outer garments. I will howl like a wild dog, and screech like an owl.

Therefore I said,“ Turn away from me; let me weep bitterly. Do not try to console me over the destruction of my people.”

at that time the Lord spoke through Isaiah son of Amoz. He said to him,“ Take off the sackcloth from your body and the sandals from your feet.” And he did so, going around stripped and barefoot.Then the Lord said,“ Just as my servant Isaiah has gone stripped and barefoot for three years, as a sign and portent against Egypt and Cush,so the king of Assyria will lead away stripped and barefoot the Egyptian captives and Cushite exiles, young and old, with buttocks bared— to Egypt’s shame.

I have become a brother of jackals, a companion of owls.

The sound of wailing is heard from Zion:‘ How ruined we are! How great is our shame! We must leave our land because our houses are in ruins.’”

Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people.

So I weep, as Jazer weeps, for the vines of Sibmah. Heshbon and Elealeh, I drench you with tears! The shouts of joy over your ripened fruit and over your harvests have been stilled.

I will weep and wail for the mountains and take up a lament concerning the wilderness grasslands. They are desolate and untraveled, and the lowing of cattle is not heard. The birds have all fled and the animals are gone.

But desert creatures will lie there, jackals will fill her houses; there the owls will dwell, and there the wild goats will leap about.

“ So my heart laments for Moab like the music of a pipe; it laments like a pipe for the people of Kir Hareseth. The wealth they acquired is gone.Every head is shaved and every beard cut off; every hand is slashed and every waist is covered with sackcloth.On all the roofs in Moab and in the public squares there is nothing but mourning, for I have broken Moab like a jar that no one wants,” declares the Lord.“ How shattered she is! How they wail! How Moab turns her back in shame! Moab has become an object of ridicule, an object of horror to all those around her.”

I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.
