Samaria collected gifts that were paid to temple prostitutes. So the Assyrians will use the gifts to pay their own temple prostitutes.”

又為我民掣籤、以決其誰得、以童易妓、鬻女得酒飲、

故雅各之愆尤、以此得蒙赦免、斯災所結之果、即除其罪惡、因其毀祭壇之石、使如已碎之灰石、而亞舍拉亞舍拉或作木偶與日像不復立焉、

爾取罪之物、即所作之犢像、我焚之以火、擣碎磨細、成為細塵、以其塵灑於由山流下之溪、

碎諸石像、斫諸亞舍拉、亞舍拉或作木偶以骸骨充於其所、昔尼八子耶羅波安、使以色列人陷於罪者、在伯特利作祭壇、立邱壇、約西亞毀其祭壇與邱壇、又焚邱壇之室、搗之成粉、並焚亞舍拉、或作又毀伯特利之壇即昔尼八子耶羅波安使以色列人陷於罪者所作之邱壇又焚邱壇之室搗之成粉並焚亞舍拉

我必毀爾邱壇、滅爾日像、使爾之屍與爾偶像偃仆一處、我心必憎爾、

天下諸王、素與彼行淫、奢侈宴樂、見焚之之煙、必為之悲痛號泣、
