“ Get up,” Jesus told him,“ pick up your mat and walk.”Instantly the man got well, picked up his mat, and started to walk. In Lystra a man was sitting who was without strength in his feet, had never walked, and had been lame from birth.He listened as Paul spoke. After looking directly at him and seeing that he had faith to be healed,Paul said in a loud voice,“ Stand up on your feet!” And he jumped up and began to walk around.When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted, saying in the Lycaonian language,“ The gods have come down to us in human form!”

Peter said to him,“ Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed,” and immediately he got up.

Jesus responded to them,“ My Father is still working, and I am working also.”This is why the Jews began trying all the more to kill him: Not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal to God.

If we are being examined today about a good deed done to a disabled man, by what means he was healed,let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified and whom God raised from the dead— by him this man is standing here before you healthy.
