耶穌卻對他們說：『我必須也在別的城市傳上帝國的福音；因為我奉差遣、正是要作這事。』於是耶穌在猶太人的各會堂裏宣傳。

『以色列人哪，你們要聽這些話：拿撒勒人耶穌、一個蒙上帝用異能奇事神迹向你們所證許的人；（這一切事、照你們自己所知道的、是上帝藉着他在你們中間施行過的）；

論到拿撒勒的耶穌，上帝怎樣將聖靈和能力膏了他。他走遍四方行善事，醫好了一切被魔鬼壓制的人，因為上帝和他同在。

耶穌吩咐完了他的十二門徒，就離開那裏，在他們的市鎮裏教訓人，並且宣傳。

就是瞎子能看見，瘸子能走路，患痳瘋屬之病的得潔淨，聾子能聽見，死人得甦活起來，窮人有好消息傳給他們；

他因他們的不信而覺得希奇。便周遊四圍村莊教訓人去了。

到了傍晚、日落的時候，人帶着一切有病的和被鬼附的到他那裏，全城都聚集在門前。耶穌治好了許多有各種疾病的人，又趕許多鬼；不許鬼說話，因為他們認識他。清早，遠在破曉以前，耶穌就起來，出去，到荒野地方，在那裏禱告。西門和同伴追尋了他。既找着了，就對他說：『眾人正找你呢。』耶穌對他們說：『我們往別處去，到鄰近的鄉鎮，我好也在那裏宣傳；因為我出來，正是為了這事。』他就去、到全加利利，在他們的會堂裏宣傳，並且趕鬼。

凡耶穌所進的村莊、或城市、或鄉下，他們都把患病的人放在市場上，求耶穌容他們摸他，雖即只摸得着他的衣裳繸子；凡摸着他的人、都得了救治。
