And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said,“ Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”

耶穌趕出一個使人成為啞巴的鬼，鬼出去了，啞巴就說出話來；眾人都很驚訝。

有人帶着一個耳聾舌結的人來見耶穌，求他為他按手。耶穌領他離開眾人，到一邊去，就用指頭探他的耳朵，吐唾沫抹他的舌頭，望天嘆息，對他說：「以法大！」就是說「開了吧！」他的耳朵立刻開了，舌結也解了，他說話也清楚了。耶穌囑咐他們不要告訴人；但他越囑咐，他們越發傳揚。眾人分外驚奇，說：「他所做的事樣樣都好，他甚至使聾子聽見，啞巴說話。」

那時，瘸子必跳躍如鹿，啞巴的舌頭必歡呼。在曠野有水噴出，在沙漠有江河湧流。

耶和華對他說：「誰造人的口呢？誰使人口啞、耳聾、目明、眼瞎呢？豈不是我－耶和華嗎？現在，去吧，我必賜你口才，指教你應當說的。」

有一大羣人到他那裏，帶着瘸子、盲人、肢殘的、聾啞的，和好些別的病人，都放在他腳前，他就治好了他們。於是眾人都驚訝，因為看見聾啞的說話，肢殘的痊癒，瘸子行走，盲人看見，他們就歸榮耀給以色列的上帝。

你在埃及地顯神蹟奇事，直到今日在以色列和世人中間也是如此，建立了自己的名聲，正如今日一樣。

那人就起來，立刻拿着褥子，當着眾人面前出去了，以致眾人都驚奇，歸榮耀給上帝，說：「我們從來沒有見過這樣的事！」

神人以利沙聽見以色列王撕裂衣服，就派人到王那裏，說：「你為甚麼撕裂衣服呢？讓那人到我這裏來，他會知道以色列中有先知。」

在猶大，上帝為人所認識；在以色列，他的名為大。

耶穌聽到這些話，就很驚訝，轉身對跟隨的眾人說：「我告訴你們，這麼大的信心，就是在以色列，我也沒有見過。」
