And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said,“ Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”

一日、耶穌逐瘖魔、魔出、瘖者能言、眾奇之、

有攜聾而結舌者就耶穌、求按手其上、耶穌引之離眾至僻處、以指探其耳、唾而按其舌、仰天而歎、語之曰、伊法他、譯即啟也、其耳即啟、舌結亦解、而出言明矣、耶穌戒眾、勿以告人、然愈戒而彼愈播揚、眾不勝駭異曰、其所為盡善、使聾者聽、瘖者言矣、

跛者必踴躍如鹿、瘖者必謳歌、蓋有水湧於曠野、有河流於沙漠、

主曰、賜人以口者誰乎、使人或瘖或聾、或明或瞽者誰乎、非我耶和華乎、今爾往、我將賜爾口才、示爾以所當言、

群眾就之、有攜跛者瞽者瘖者殘疾者、及諸病者、置於耶穌足前、耶穌醫之、眾見瘖者言、殘疾者痊、跛者行、瞽者明、甚奇之、而歸榮於以色列之天主、○

在伊及地、在以色列族、在世人中、行奇事異跡、宣揚大名、有如今日、

其人即起、於眾前取榻而出、眾奇之、歸榮於天主曰、我儕從未見若是者、○

神人以利沙聞以色列王裂衣、則遣人告王曰、何為裂衣、斯人可就我、使知以色列中有先知、

天主在猶大為人所識、在以色列族中、其名為大、

耶穌聞而奇之、顧從者曰、我告爾、即以色列中、我未見如是之信、
