耶穌對他說：“‘如果你能’（“如果你能”有些抄本作“你若能信”）—對於信的人，甚麼都能！”孩子的父親立刻喊著說：“我信！但我的信心不夠，求你幫助我。”

有一個患痲風的人前來向他跪拜，說：“主啊！如果你肯，必能使我潔淨。”

耶穌對他說：“你們若看不見神蹟奇事，總是不肯信。”大臣說：“先生，求你趁我的孩子還沒有死就下去吧！”耶穌告訴他：“回去吧，你的兒子好了。”那人信耶穌對他說的話，就回去了。

耶穌來到彼得家裡，看見他的岳母發燒，病在床上。

耶穌說：“我不是對你說過‘如果你信，就必定看見神的榮耀’嗎？”

因為他們不信，他就不在那裡多行神蹟了。

耶穌離開群眾，進到屋裡，門徒前來問他：“請你給我們解釋田裡稗子的比喻。”

所有活著又信我的人，必定永遠不死，你信這話嗎？”

耶穌轉過來看見她，就說：“女兒，放心！你的信心使你痊愈了。”從那時起，那女人就好了。
