Whose son is he?” They said to him,“ Of David.”He said to them,“ How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,‘ The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?’“ If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”

The multitudes who went in front of him, and those who followed, kept shouting,“ Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

Then one possessed by a demon, blind and mute, was brought to him and he healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.All the multitudes were amazed, and said,“ Can this be the son of David?”

But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were crying in the temple and saying,“ Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant,

So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.The neighbors therefore, and those who saw that he was blind before, said,“ Isn’t this he who sat and begged?”Others were saying,“ It is he.” Still others were saying,“ He looks like him.” He said,“ I am he.”They therefore were asking him,“ How were your eyes opened?”He answered,“ A man called Jesus made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me,‘ Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”Then they asked him,“ Where is he?” He said,“ I don’t know.”
