“ Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.

The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

And he cried out, saying,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Blessed is the kingdom of our father David That comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,saying,“ What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?” They said to Him,“ The Son of David.”He said to them,“ How then does David in the Spirit call Him‘ Lord,’ saying:‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”’?If David then calls Him‘ Lord,’ how is He his Son?”

Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:“ Hosanna to the Son of David!‘ Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”

Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?”

And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.

Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.And all the multitudes were amazed and said,“ Could this be the Son of David?”

But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying,“ Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant

And He said to them,“ How can they say that the Christ is the Son of David?

And they lifted up their voices and said,“ Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.And His disciples asked Him, saying,“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”Jesus answered,“ Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.And He said to him,“ Go, wash in the pool of Siloam”( which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said,“ Is not this he who sat and begged?”Some said,“ This is he.” Others said,“ He is like him.” He said,“ I am he.”Therefore they said to him,“ How were your eyes opened?”He answered and said,“ A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me,‘ Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.”Then they said to him,“ Where is He?” He said,“ I do not know.”
