Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.

Just then a woman came up behind Jesus. She had a sickness that made her bleed. It had lasted for 12 years. She touched the edge of his clothes.

Just then, a woman who had suffered from bleeding for 12 years approached from behind and touched the tassel on His robe,

And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind[ him], and touched the hem of his garment:

But a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.

Behold, a woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment;

A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure.Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped.“ Who touched me?” Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, and Peter said,“ Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.”But Jesus said,“ Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.”When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed.“ Daughter,” he said to her,“ your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”While he was still speaking to her, a messenger arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. He told him,“ Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.”But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus,“ Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”When they arrived at the house, Jesus wouldn’t let anyone go in with him except Peter, John, James, and the little girl’s father and mother.The house was filled with people weeping and wailing, but he said,“ Stop the weeping! She isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.”But the crowd laughed at him because they all knew she had died.Then Jesus took her by the hand and said in a loud voice,“ My child, get up!”And at that moment her life returned, and she immediately stood up! Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat.Her parents were overwhelmed, but Jesus insisted that they not tell anyone what had happened.

They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.

A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding.She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse.She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe.For she thought to herself,“ If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition.Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked,“ Who touched my robe?”His disciples said to him,“ Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask,‘ Who touched me?’”But he kept on looking around to see who had done it.Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done.And he said to her,“ Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”While he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him,“ Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.”But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus,“ Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.”Then Jesus stopped the crowd and wouldn’t let anyone go with him except Peter, James, and John( the brother of James).When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw much commotion and weeping and wailing.He went inside and asked,“ Why all this commotion and weeping? The child isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.”The crowd laughed at him. But he made them all leave, and he took the girl’s father and mother and his three disciples into the room where the girl was lying.Holding her hand, he said to her,“ Talitha koum,” which means“ Little girl, get up!”And the girl, who was twelve years old, immediately stood up and walked around! They were overwhelmed and totally amazed.Jesus gave them strict orders not to tell anyone what had happened, and then he told them to give her something to eat.

“ You must put four tassels on the hem of the cloak with which you cover yourself— on the front, back, and sides.

“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel: Throughout the generations to come you must make tassels for the hems of your clothing and attach them with a blue cord.When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do.

“ Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels.

Wherever he went— in villages, cities, or the countryside— they brought the sick out to the marketplaces. They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.

When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Jesus, and they begged him to touch the man and heal him.

When handkerchiefs or aprons that had merely touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and evil spirits were expelled.

As a result of the apostles’ work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter’s shadow might fall across some of them as he went by.

“ If a woman has a flow of blood for many days that is unrelated to her menstrual period, or if the blood continues beyond the normal period, she is ceremonially unclean. As during her menstrual period, the woman will be unclean as long as the discharge continues.Any bed she lies on and any object she sits on during that time will be unclean, just as during her normal menstrual period.If any of you touch these things, you will be ceremonially unclean. You must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening.“ When the woman’s bleeding stops, she must count off seven days. Then she will be ceremonially clean.On the eighth day she must bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons and present them to the priest at the entrance of the Tabernacle.The priest will offer one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. Through this process, the priest will purify her before the Lord for the ceremonial impurity caused by her bleeding.“ This is how you will guard the people of Israel from ceremonial uncleanness. Otherwise they would die, for their impurity would defile my Tabernacle that stands among them.These are the instructions for dealing with anyone who has a bodily discharge— a man who is unclean because of an emission of semenor a woman during her menstrual period. It applies to any man or woman who has a bodily discharge, and to a man who has sexual intercourse with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.”
