Some men brought to him a man who could not walk. He was lying on a mat. Jesus saw that they had faith. So he said to the man,“ Don’t lose hope, son. Your sins are forgiven.”

有人用褥子抬着一个瘫子到耶稣跟前来。耶稣见他们的信心，就对瘫子说：“小子，放心吧！你的罪赦了。”

这时候，有几个人把一个躺在床榻上瘫痪的人抬到他面前。耶稣看见他们的信心，就对瘫痪的人说：“孩子，鼓起勇气吧！你的罪孽被赦免了。”

這時候，有幾個人把一個躺在床榻上癱瘓的人抬到他面前。耶穌看見他們的信心，就對癱瘓的人說：「孩子，鼓起勇氣吧！你的罪孽被赦免了。」

時一痿者臥榻中、人舁之以至、耶穌鑒其信、謂痿者曰：『小子、安心、爾罪赦矣。』

Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man,“ Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.”

And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic,“ Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.”

Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man,“ Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven.”

Just then some men brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic,“ Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.”

And they brought to Him a paralyzed man lying on a stretcher. And seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man who was paralyzed,“ Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven.”

Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic,“ Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”

And behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer; thy sins are forgiven.

Just then some men brought to Him a paralytic lying on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic,“ Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.”

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic,“ Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”

A few days later, Jesus entered Capernaum again. The people heard that he had come home.So many people gathered that there was no room left. There was not even room outside the door. And Jesus preached the word to them.Four of those who came were carrying a man who could not walk.But they could not get him close to Jesus because of the crowd. So they made a hole by digging through the roof above Jesus. Then they lowered the man through it on a mat.Jesus saw their faith. So he said to the man,“ Son, your sins are forgiven.”Some teachers of the law were sitting there. They were thinking,“ Why is this fellow talking like that? He’s saying a very evil thing! Only God can forgive sins!”Right away Jesus knew what they were thinking. So he said to them,“ Why are you thinking these things?Is it easier to say to this man,‘ Your sins are forgiven’? Or to say,‘ Get up, take your mat and walk’?But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So Jesus spoke to the man who could not walk.“ I tell you,” he said,“ get up. Take your mat and go home.”The man got up and took his mat. Then he walked away while everyone watched. All the people were amazed. They praised God and said,“ We have never seen anything like this!”

Jesus turned and saw her.“ Dear woman, don’t give up hope,” he said.“ Your faith has healed you.” The woman was healed at that moment.

So some men came carrying a man who could not walk. He was lying on a mat. They tried to take him into the house to place him in front of Jesus.They could not find a way to do this because of the crowd. So they went up on the roof. Then they lowered the man on his mat through the opening in the roof tiles. They lowered him into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.When Jesus saw that they had faith, he spoke to the man. He said,“ Friend, your sins are forgiven.”The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to think,“ Who is this fellow who says such an evil thing? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”Jesus knew what they were thinking. So he asked,“ Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?Is it easier to say,‘ Your sins are forgiven’? Or to say,‘ Get up and walk’?But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he spoke to the man who could not walk.“ I tell you,” he said,“ get up. Take your mat and go home.”Right away, the man stood up in front of them. He took his mat and went home praising God.Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with wonder. They said,“ We have seen unusual things today.”

“ This is the covenant I will make with Israel after that time,” announces the Lord.“ I will put my law in their minds. I will write it on their hearts. I will be their God. And they will be my people.They will not need to teach their neighbor anymore. And they will not need to teach one another anymore. They will not need to say,‘ Know the Lord.’ That’s because everyone will know me. From the least important of them to the most important, all of them will know me,” announces the Lord.“ I will forgive their evil ways. I will not remember their sins anymore.”

Blessed is the person whose lawless acts are forgiven. Their sins have been taken away.Blessed is the person whose sin the Lord never counts against them. That person doesn’t want to cheat anyone.

Even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to those who were sick. When this happened, their sicknesses were healed and evil spirits left them.

We want you to give thanks with joy to the Father. He has made you fit to have what he will give to all his holy people. You will all receive a share in the kingdom of light.He has saved us from the kingdom of darkness. He has brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.Because of what the Son has done, we have been set free. Because of him, all our sins have been forgiven.

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. He said to those following him,“ What I’m about to tell you is true. In Israel I have not found anyone whose faith is so strong.

He listened as Paul spoke. Paul looked right at him. He saw that the man had faith to be healed.

But someone will say,“ You have faith. I do good deeds.” Show me your faith that doesn’t cause you to do good deeds. And I will show you my faith by the goods deeds I do.

He called out to them,“ Friends, don’t you have any fish?”“ No,” they answered.

News about him spread all over Syria. People brought to him all who were ill with different kinds of sicknesses. Some were suffering great pain. Others were controlled by demons. Some were shaking wildly. Others couldn’t move at all. And Jesus healed all of them.

King David says the same thing. He tells us how blessed people are when God makes them right with himself. They are blessed because they don’t have to do anything in return. David says,“ Blessed are those whose lawless acts are forgiven. Blessed are those whose sins are taken away.Blessed is the person whose sin the Lord never counts against them.”( Psalm 32:1, 2)

So I tell you this. Her many sins have been forgiven. She has shown that she understands this by her great acts of love. But whoever has been forgiven only a little loves only a little.”Then Jesus said to her,“ Your sins are forgiven.”The other guests began to talk about this among themselves. They said,“ Who is this who even forgives sins?”Jesus said to the woman,“ Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

So people brought those who were sick into the streets. They placed them on beds and mats. They hoped that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he walked by.Crowds even gathered from the towns around Jerusalem. They brought their sick people. They also brought those who were suffering because of evil spirits. All of them were healed.

He didn’t need anyone to tell him what people are like. He already knew why people do what they do.

“ I have told you these things, so that you can have peace because of me. In this world you will have trouble. But be encouraged! I have won the battle over the world.”

“ Comfort my people,” says your God.“ Comfort them.Speak tenderly to the people of Jerusalem. Announce to them that their hard labor has been completed. Tell them that their sin has been paid for. Tell them the Lord has punished them enough for all their sins.”

I will sweep your sins away as if they were a cloud. I will blow them away as if they were the morning mist. Return to me. Then I will set you free.”

But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he spoke to the man who could not walk.“ Get up,” he said.“ Take your mat and go home.”

That evening after sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who were sick. They also brought all who were controlled by demons.

Go and enjoy your food. Be joyful as you drink your wine. God has already approved what you do.

He said to her,“ Dear woman, your faith has healed you. Go in peace. You are free from your suffering.”

When evening came, many people controlled by demons were brought to Jesus. He drove out the spirits with a word. He healed all who were sick.

And that is not all. We are full of joy in God because of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of him, God has brought us back to himself.

“ My friends, here is what I want you to know. I announce to you that your sins can be forgiven because of what Jesus has done.Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin. Moses’ law could not make you right in God’s eyes.
