耶穌對曰：『新壻之友、方伴新壻、詎能哀泣？他日新壻被刼而去、斯彼齋戒時矣。

耶穌對他們說：「新郎與賓客在一起的時候，難道賓客能悲傷嗎？可是日子將要來到：當新郎從他們中間被帶走的時候，他們那時就要禁食了。

耶穌曰、新娶者偕在、賀娶者豈能哀慟乎、惟日將至、新娶者見接而去、乃禁食耳、

耶穌曰、新娶者在、賀娶者豈有哀慟乎、惟將來新娶者別之去、時乃禁食耳、

耶穌答曰、新娶者、與賀娶之客同在、賀娶之客、豈能悲哀乎、惟將來新娶者別之去、彼時則禁食、

Jesus answered,“ How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

Jesus answered,“ How can the guests of the groom be sad while he is with them? The time will come when the groom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast.

And Jesus said to them,“ Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.

Jesus replied,“ Do wedding guests mourn while celebrating with the groom? Of course not. But someday the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

Jesus said to them,“ Can the wedding guests be sad while the groom is with them? The time will come when the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

And Jesus said to them,“ The attendants of the groom cannot mourn as long as the groom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the groom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.

And Jesus said to them,“ Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast.

Jesus said to them,“ Can the wedding guests be sad while the groom is with them? The time will come when the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

Jesus said to them,“ The wedding guests cannot mourn while the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then they will fast.

Jesus said to them,“ Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

夫人娶婦而為新壻、新壻之友立而待之、聞其音則洋洋而喜。今者吾樂之沛然充溢、亦復如是。

有天神語予曰：「筆之於書：凡被邀參與羔羊之婚筵者、福莫大焉。」復告予曰「此實為天主之言。」

我若望親睹聖邑新耶路撒冷發自天主、降自雲間、儼若新人、凝粧而待其夫壻。

予切實語爾爾將哀悼痛苦、而世將歡忻鼓舞。爾等不免憂心戚戚、然爾等之憂戚、終必化為神樂。若懷胎之婦、分娩時不勝痛苦、及其既產、則忘其苦、且必以世上新生一人而樂焉。是故爾目前雖感憂苦、迨予重復見爾、則爾必欣然而樂、爾心之樂、人莫奪焉。

安提阿教區有先知及主講數人、即巴拿巴、西門字尼結、古利奈人路求、分封王希祿之幼侶馬念、及掃羅是已。方其禮主齋戒之際、聖神謂之曰：『為我甄別巴拿巴及掃羅、以赴我所命之任務。』乃復齋戒祈禱、為之行覆手禮、遣之使去。

並於各會選立長老、守齋祈禱、以信者託付於主。

是日、同道中有二人、赴伊瑪伍村、是村距耶路撒冷約二十里之遙、途中、二人方敘論近事、耶穌來與偕行；時二人心目迷蒙、不之識。耶穌問曰：『爾等載行載言、所談何時？』二人駐足、面呈憂色、中名格流法者、答曰：『爾在耶路撒冷豈離群索居、而不知近日之消息乎？』耶穌曰：『何事？』曰：『納匝勒人耶穌事耳。渠乃先知、在天主與眾人之前、言行顯赫、詎知大司祭及紳宦、竟捕解判死、釘之十字架、而吾人正屬望於彼一人、以復興義塞國也。顧事有更可驚者、今已為出事後第三日、

『是時、天國將如童女十人、各持一燈、出迎新壻。其中愚者五人、智者亦五人。愚者持燈、而無餘油；智者攜燈、而又貯油於壺。新壻稽遲、皆假寐而寢。子夜忽有聲呼曰：「新壻來矣其出迎之！」眾女乃起而整燈。愚者謂智者曰：「請予我以油；吾燈垂滅。」智者對曰：「共用恐將不給、盍就市購之。」方往沽、而新壻至矣。有備者偕入、同赴婚筵、戶遂扃。

如經雙方同意、為專務祈禱、暫時分居、則亦無妨。惟事後仍宜同居、恐因節制過度、反授沙殫以邪誘之機耳。

王女在宮中。榮華無與方。金線耀朝日。錦衣而繡裳。招展來王前。環珮鏘琳琅。眾媵隨其後。諸嬪亦相將。

茲聞予言、爾乃不勝憂戚。

諭畢、即當眾目環視之際、攝引昇天、朵雲接之、杳然不能復瞻。方其昇也、諸徒猶仰天注視、倏有白衣二人、立於其側曰：

備嘗艱辛、終夜不寐、載飢載渴、時復齋戒、忍苦耐勞、寒而無衣。
