耶穌對曰：『新壻之友、方伴新壻、詎能哀泣？他日新壻被刼而去、斯彼齋戒時矣。

Jesus answered,“ How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

Jesus answered,“ How can the guests of the groom be sad while he is with them? The time will come when the groom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast.

And Jesus said to them,“ Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.

Jesus replied,“ Do wedding guests mourn while celebrating with the groom? Of course not. But someday the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

Jesus said to them,“ Can the wedding guests be sad while the groom is with them? The time will come when the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

And Jesus said to them,“ The attendants of the groom cannot mourn as long as the groom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the groom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.

And Jesus said to them,“ Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast.

Jesus said to them,“ Can the wedding guests be sad while the groom is with them? The time will come when the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

Jesus said to them,“ The wedding guests cannot mourn while the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then they will fast.

Jesus said to them,“ Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

迎娶新娘的是新郎。新郎的朋友站在那裡，聽到新郎的聲音，就歡喜快樂。這樣，我這喜樂得以滿足了。

隨後，那位天使對我說：「你當寫下：那些被邀請赴羔羊婚宴的人是蒙福的！」他又對我說：「這些都是神真實的話語。」

我也看見聖城新耶路撒冷，從神那裡、從天上降下來，已經被預備好了，就像為自己的丈夫裝飾整齊的新娘那樣。

「我確確實實地告訴你們：你們將會痛哭、哀號，這世界反而會喜樂；你們將會憂傷，然而你們的憂傷要變成喜樂。婦人生產的時候會有憂慮，因為她的時候到了；但是生了孩子以後，她就因著有人出生到世上的喜樂，而不再記住那痛苦了。這樣，你們現在雖然也有憂慮，但是我會再見到你們，你們心裡將喜樂，並且沒有人能奪去你們的喜樂。

在安提阿當地的教會中有一些做先知傳道的和教師，包括巴拿巴、稱為尼格爾的西蒙、古利奈人盧吉斯、與分封王希律一起長大的馬納恩，還有掃羅。他們在服事主、禁食的時候，聖靈說：「來，你們把巴拿巴和掃羅為我分別出來，去做我所召喚他們做的工作！」於是他們禁食、禱告，按手在巴拿巴和掃羅身上，就送他們走了。

保羅和巴拿巴在各教會為他們選出了長老，禱告和禁食以後，把他們交託給他們所信靠的主。

到那日，主萬軍之耶和華呼籲你們哭泣哀號、剃光頭髮、束上麻布。

正好在同一天，門徒中有兩個人往一個村子去；這村子名叫以馬忤斯，離耶路撒冷約有十一公里。他們彼此談論著所發生的這一切事。在他們交談討論的時候，耶穌親自走近他們，與他們同行，但是他們的眼睛被遮蔽了，認不出他來。耶穌問他們：「你們一路上彼此談論的這些，到底是什麼事呢？」他們就停住，面帶愁容。其中一個名叫克利奧帕的回答耶穌，說：「你在耶路撒冷作客，難道只有你還不知道這幾天在那裡所發生的事嗎？」耶穌問他們：「什麼事呢？」他們對他說：「就是有關拿撒勒人耶穌的事。這個人是一位先知，在神和全體民眾面前說話行事都有能力。我們的祭司長們和首領們竟把他交出去，判了死罪，釘上十字架。不過我們一直希望他就是要救贖以色列的那一位。不但如此，從這些事發生到今天，已經是第三天了。

「那時，天國好比十個童女，拿著她們的燈出去迎接新郎。她們當中有五個是愚拙的，五個是聰明的。那些愚拙的童女帶著她們的燈，卻沒有帶油；而那些聰明的帶著瓶子裡的油，以及自己的燈。後來新郎遲延不到，她們都打盹，睡著了。「半夜裡，有人喧嚷：『看哪，是新郎！你們出來迎接他！』「十個童女都醒過來，修整她們的燈。愚拙的對聰明的說：『請把你們的油分一點給我們，因為我們的燈要滅了。』「但那些聰明的回答說：『不行，絕不夠我們和你們用的。你們還是到賣油的那裡去，為自己買吧。』「可是她們去買的時候，新郎就來了。那些預備好了的，與新郎一同進去赴婚宴，門就關上了。

夫妻同房不可拒絕對方，除非為了有一段時間專心禱告；然後仍要在一起，免得撒旦趁著你們不能自制而試探你們。

她身穿繡花的彩衣，被領到王那裡；她後面陪伴著的童女們也被帶到你那裡。她們在歡喜和快樂中被引領，進入王的宮殿。

只因為我對你們說了這些話，你們心裡就充滿了憂傷。

說了這些話，耶穌就在他們的注視中被接升天，有一朵雲彩把他接去，他們就看不見他了。正當耶穌離去，他們注目望天的時候，忽然有兩個身穿白衣的人站在他們旁邊，

我辛苦勞碌，經常失眠，又飢又渴，經常缺食，遭受寒冷，衣不蔽體。
