法利賽人看見，就對耶穌的門徒說：『你們的先生為甚麼跟收稅人和「罪人」一同喫飯呢？』

法利赛人看见，就对耶稣的门徒说：“你们的先生为什么和税吏并罪人一同吃饭呢？”

法利賽人和他們的經學士就唧唧咕咕向耶穌的門徒議論說：『你們為甚麼跟收稅人和「罪人」一同喫喝呢？』

法利賽人中的經學士看見他跟「罪人」和收稅人一同喫飯，就對他門徒說：『他跟收稅人和「罪人」一同喫飯麼？』

眾收稅人和「罪人」都走近耶穌那裏，要聽他。法利賽人以及經學士、就唧唧咕咕地彼此議論說：『這個人接待一些「罪人」，又和他們一同喫飯哪。』

我先前在信上給你們寫過，叫你們不可和嫖妓或作男倡的交往，並不是泛指着這世界上所有嫖妓或作男倡的、或貪婪的和勒索人的、或拜偶像的。要那樣，你們就該離開世界才能！其實我寫給你們的是：若有人名為弟兄，實在是嫖妓或作男倡的、或貪婪的、或拜偶像的、或辱罵人的、或醉酒的、或勒索人的，你們就不可和他交往。就是和這樣的人一同喫飯也不可，

我們這生來是猶太人、而不是屬於外國之「罪人」的，

都能體諒愚蒙而失迷的人，因為他自己也掛着軟弱。

眾人看見，都唧唧咕咕地彼此議論說，『「罪人」家裏、他還進去投宿呢！』

他們對人說：『你在你那兒呆着吧！不要挨近我，因為我的「屬聖」會染着你。』主說：這些人是我鼻中的煙，是整天燒𤏲的火。

耶穌到了門徒那裏，看見一大羣人圍着他們，經學士正對他們辯論着。全羣的人一看見耶穌、都非常驚訝，就跑上前去，給他請安。耶穌問他們說：『你們對他們辯論甚麼？』
