法利塞人見之、謂其徒曰：『爾師奚為與稅吏罪人同食？』

All the tax collectors and sinners were approaching to listen to Him.And the Pharisees and scribes were complaining,“ This man welcomes sinners and eats with them!”

I wrote to you in a letter not to associate with sexually immoral people.I did not mean the immoral people of this world or the greedy and swindlers or idolaters; otherwise you would have to leave the world.But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer who is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or verbally abusive, a drunkard or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.

We who are Jews by birth and not“ Gentile sinners”

He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he is also subject to weakness.

When they came to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and scribes disputing with them.All of a sudden, when the whole crowd saw Him, they were amazed and ran to greet Him.Then He asked them,“ What are you arguing with them about?”
