有些法利赛人看见了，就对耶稣的门徒们说：“你们的老师为什么与那些税吏和罪人一起吃饭呢？”

法利赛人和他们的经文士就向耶稣的门徒们抱怨，说：“你们为什么与那些税吏和罪人一起吃喝呢？”

有些法利赛派的经文士见耶稣与罪人和税吏一起吃饭，就对耶稣的门徒们说：“他怎么与那些税吏和罪人一起吃饭呢？”

当时，税吏和罪人都接近耶稣，听他讲说。法利赛人和经文士抱怨，说：“这个人欢迎罪人，又与他们一起吃饭。”

我以前在书信上给你们写过：不可与淫乱的人交往。我当然不是指这世上淫乱的、或贪心的、或勒索人的、或拜偶像的，否则，你们就必须离开这个世界了。但如今我写给你们的是：如果有人被称为弟兄，却是淫乱的、或贪心的、或拜偶像的、或诽谤人的、或酗酒的、或勒索人的，你们不可与他交往，连与这样的人一起吃饭都不可。

我们生来是犹太人，不是“外邦中的罪人”，

他能体谅那些不明白而被迷惑的人，因为他自己也被软弱所困。

大家看见，就抱怨说：“他竟然到一个罪人家里去借宿。”

他们说：‘你就站在那里，不要接近我，因为我比你圣洁。’这些就是我鼻孔中的烟，是终日燃烧的火。

他们回到其他的门徒那里，看见一大群人围着他们，而且有几个经文士正在和他们辩论。众人一见耶稣，都大吃一惊，就跑过去欢迎他。耶稣问：“你们和他们在辩论什么？”
