蓋我隸人權、有士卒隸我權、令此往則往、來則來、令僕行是則行是、

蓋我權屬人、兵權屬我、命去則去、命來則來、令僕行是、即行是、

蓋我屬人轄、亦有兵屬我轄、命此去則去、命彼來則來、令我僕行是則行是、

蓋予屬人權下、己亦帶有兵卒；命此去則去、召彼來則來、所諭於僕、罔有不從。』

For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one,‘ Go,’ and he goes; and that one,‘ Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant,‘ Do this,’ and he does it.”

Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.

Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back,

“ Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say,‘ Sword, go through the land,’ and I cut off man and beast from it,even though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord GOD,“ they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but only they themselves would be delivered.“ Or if I send a pestilence into that land and pour out My fury on it in blood, and cut off from it man and beast,even though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live,” says the Lord GOD,“ they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness.”For thus says the Lord GOD:“ How much more it shall be when I send My four severe judgments on Jerusalem— the sword and famine and wild beasts and pestilence— to cut off man and beast from it?

So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.

Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea,“ Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.But He said to them,“ Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another,“ Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

“ Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, That an abundance of water may cover you?Can you send out lightnings, that they may go, And say to you,‘ Here we are!’?

Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,

For He commands and raises the stormy wind, Which lifts up the waves of the sea.They mount up to the heavens, They go down again to the depths; Their soul melts because of trouble.They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits’ end.Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses.He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.

For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one,‘ Go,’ and he goes; and to another,‘ Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant,‘ Do this,’ and he does it.”

But Jesus rebuked him, saying,“ Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him in their midst, it came out of him and did not hurt him.Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying,“ What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.”

They continue this day according to Your ordinances, For all are Your servants.

“ O you sword of the Lord, How long until you are quiet? Put yourself up into your scabbard, Rest and be still!How can it be quiet, Seeing the Lord has given it a charge Against Ashkelon and against the seashore? There He has appointed it.”
