蓋我隸人權、有士卒隸我權、令此往則往、來則來、令僕行是則行是、

蓋我權屬人、兵權屬我、命去則去、命來則來、令僕行是、即行是、

蓋我屬人轄、亦有兵屬我轄、命此去則去、命彼來則來、令我僕行是則行是、

蓋予屬人權下、己亦帶有兵卒；命此去則去、召彼來則來、所諭於僕、罔有不從。』

For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one,‘ Go,’ and he goes; and that one,‘ Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant,‘ Do this,’ and he does it.”

I myself am a man under authority. And I have soldiers who obey my orders. I tell this one,‘ Go,’ and he goes. I tell that one,‘ Come,’ and he comes. I say to my slave,‘ Do this,’ and he does it.”

For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one,‘ Go,’ and he goes, and to another,‘ Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant,‘ Do this,’ and he does it.”

I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say,‘ Go,’ and they go, or‘ Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves,‘ Do this,’ they do it.”

你們作奴僕的，凡事要聽從你們世上的主人，不要只做討好人的表面工夫，要以敬畏主的心真誠服侍。

勸勉作奴僕的要凡事順服主人，讓主人滿意，不頂撞主人，

倘若我使刀劍臨到那裡，毀滅人和牲畜，縱然這三個義人在那裡，我憑我的永恆起誓，他們也不能救自己的兒女，只能自己得救。這是主耶和華說的。倘若我叫瘟疫在那裡肆虐，發烈怒毀滅那裡的人和牲畜，縱然挪亞、但以理和約伯在那裡，我憑我的永恆起誓，他們也不能救自己的兒女，只能因義行而自己得救。這是主耶和華說的。「主耶和華說，『我要把戰禍、饑荒、猛獸和瘟疫這四大刑罰降在耶路撒冷，毀滅人和牲畜。

耶穌站在她旁邊，斥責熱病，熱病就退了，她便立刻起來服侍他們。

耶穌起來斥責狂風，對著湖面說：「靜下來！停下來！」於是就風平浪靜了。祂對門徒說：「你們為什麼這樣害怕呢？你們還是沒有信心嗎？」他們極其害怕，彼此議論說：「祂到底是誰？連風浪都聽祂的！」

火焰、冰雹、雪花、雲霞和聽祂吩咐的狂風啊，

你能號令雲彩，使傾盆大雨覆蓋你嗎？你能命閃電發出，讓它聽候調遣嗎？

你們作奴僕的，要戰戰兢兢、誠誠實實、懷著敬畏的心服從你們肉身的主人，就像服從基督一樣。不要只做一些討好人的表面工夫，要像基督的奴僕一樣從心裡遵行上帝的旨意。

祂一聲令下，狂風大作，巨浪滔天。他們的船隻忽而被拋向半空，忽而落入深淵，他們嚇得面無人色，東倒西歪，如同醉漢，束手無策。於是，他們在患難中呼求耶和華，耶和華便拯救他們脫離困境。祂使狂風止息，海浪平靜。

因為我有上司，也有部下。我命令我的部下去，他就去；要他來，他就來。我吩咐奴僕做什麼事，他一定照辦。」

耶穌責備牠說：「住口！從他身上出來！」污鬼當場把那人摔倒，然後從他身上離開了，絲毫沒有傷害他。大家都很驚訝，彼此議論說：「這是怎麼回事？祂的話竟然帶著權柄和能力，一吩咐污鬼，牠們就出來了！」

天地照你的法令一直存到今日，因為萬物都是你的僕役。

你們大喊，『耶和華的刀啊，你何時才停下來呢？求你入鞘吧！停下來吧！』但耶和華已命令它攻擊亞實基倫和沿海一帶，它怎能停下來呢？」
