巴總曰：『主臨敝廬、何敢當也。第發一言、吾僕當愈。

The centurion replied,“ Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

But the centurion replied,“ Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed.

But the officer said,“ Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.

“ Lord,” the centurion replied,“ I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

於是耶穌與他們一起去了。當耶穌離他家不遠的時候，百夫長又託了幾個朋友來對耶穌說：「主啊，不用麻煩了，我實在不配請你進我家，我自己也覺得不配到你那裡去。只要你說一句話，我的僕人就會痊癒的。

因為他說有，就有；命立，就立。

耶穌斥責汙靈說：「住口！從這個人裡面出來！」汙靈使那個人抽瘋，然後大聲喊叫著從他裡面出來了。結果大家都驚訝不已，彼此談論說：「這是怎麼回事？！一個帶有權柄的新的教導！他命令汙靈，汙靈就都聽從他！」

耶穌伸出手來摸他，說：「我願意，你潔淨了吧！」那人的痲瘋病立刻就被潔淨了。

西門彼得看見，就俯伏在耶穌腳前，說：「主啊，離開我吧，因為我是個罪人！」

耶穌回答說：「拿兒女的餅扔給小狗，是不合宜的。」婦人說：「是的，主啊！不過連小狗也吃得到主人桌子上掉下來的碎渣！」

「我用水給你們施洗，是為了你們的悔改。但在我之後來的那一位，是比我更強有力的，我就是為他提鞋子也不配。他要用聖靈和火給你們施洗。

他是那在我之後來的，我就是為他解鞋帶也不配。」

你向你僕人所施行的一切慈愛和信實，我一點也不配。我先前只帶著一根杖過這約旦河，如今我卻擁有這兩隊了。

兒子說：『父親，我對天犯了罪，也在你面前犯了罪。我再也不配稱為你的兒子。』

約翰想要阻止他，說：「我需要受你的洗禮，你反而到我這裡來嗎？」

我再也不配稱為你的兒子，請把我當做你的一個雇工吧。』

耶和華啊，你垂聽了卑微人的願望！你使他們的心堅定；你側耳傾聽，

他來到西門彼得面前，彼得對他說：「主啊，你洗我的腳嗎？」耶穌回答說：「我所做的，你現在不理解，不過事後就會明白。」彼得說：「你絕不可洗我的腳，永遠不可！」耶穌說：「如果我不洗你，你就與我沒有份了。」
