耶穌就和他們同去。離那家不遠的時候，百夫長派幾個朋友來說：“主啊，不必勞駕，因為你到舍下來，我實在不敢當，我也覺得沒有資格去見你；只要你說一句話，我的僕人就必好了。

因為他說有，就有；命立，就立。

耶穌斥責他說：“住口！從他身上出來！”污靈使那人抽瘋，大聲喊叫，就從他身上出來了。眾人都很驚訝，於是彼此對問說：“這是怎麼一回事？是個有權能的新道理啊！他吩咐污靈，污靈竟服從了他！”

耶穌伸手摸他，說：“我肯，你潔淨了吧！”他的痲風立刻潔淨了。

西門．彼得看見這種情景，就俯伏在耶穌膝前，說：“主啊，離開我，因為我是個罪人。”

耶穌回答：“拿兒女的餅丟給小狗吃是不好的。”她說：“主啊，是的，不過小狗也吃主人桌子上掉下來的碎渣。”

我用水給你們施洗，表示你們悔改；但在我以後要來的那一位，能力比我更大，我就是替他提鞋也沒有資格。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。

他是在我以後來的，我就是給他解鞋帶也不配。”

你向你僕人所施的一切慈愛和信實，我實在不配得。從前我只拿著我的手杖過這約旦河；現在我卻擁有這兩隊人馬了。

兒子說：‘爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再稱為你的兒子。’

約翰想要阻止他，說：“我應該受你的洗，你卻到我這裡來嗎？”

不配再稱為你的兒子，把我當作一個雇工吧！’

“你要拿著杖，和你的哥哥亞倫聚集會眾，在他們眼前，吩咐磐石出水；這樣你就可以使磐石流出水來，給會眾和他們的牲畜喝。”

耶和華啊！困苦人的心願你已經聽見，你必堅固他們的心，也必留心聽他們的呼求；

輪到西門．彼得，彼得就說：“主啊，你要洗我的腳嗎？”耶穌回答：“我所作的，你現在不知道，以後就會明白。”彼得說：“不行，你千萬不可洗我的腳！”耶穌說：“如果我不洗你，你就與我沒有關係了。”
