耶稣斥责他说：“住口！从他身上出来！”污灵使那人抽疯，大声喊叫，就从他身上出来了。众人都很惊讶，于是彼此对问说：“这是怎么一回事？是个有权能的新道理啊！他吩咐污灵，污灵竟服从了他！”

耶稣伸手摸他，说：“我肯，你洁净了吧！”他的痲风立刻洁净了。

西门．彼得看见这种情景，就俯伏在耶稣膝前，说：“主啊，离开我，因为我是个罪人。”

耶稣回答：“拿儿女的饼丢给小狗吃是不好的。”她说：“主啊，是的，不过小狗也吃主人桌子上掉下来的碎渣。”

我用水给你们施洗，表示你们悔改；但在我以后要来的那一位，能力比我更大，我就是替他提鞋也没有资格。他要用圣灵与火给你们施洗。

他是在我以后来的，我就是给他解鞋带也不配。”

你向你仆人所施的一切慈爱和信实，我实在不配得。从前我只拿着我的手杖过这约旦河；现在我却拥有这两队人马了。

儿子说：‘爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再称为你的儿子。’

约翰想要阻止他，说：“我应该受你的洗，你却到我这里来吗？”

不配再称为你的儿子，把我当作一个雇工吧！’

“你要拿着杖，和你的哥哥亚伦聚集会众，在他们眼前，吩咐磐石出水；这样你就可以使磐石流出水来，给会众和他们的牲畜喝。”

耶和华啊！困苦人的心愿你已经听见，你必坚固他们的心，也必留心听他们的呼求；

轮到西门．彼得，彼得就说：“主啊，你要洗我的脚吗？”耶稣回答：“我所作的，你现在不知道，以后就会明白。”彼得说：“不行，你千万不可洗我的脚！”耶稣说：“如果我不洗你，你就与我没有关系了。”
