鬼就央求耶稣，说：“若要把我们赶出去，就打发我们进入猪群吧！”

那些鬼魔就央求耶穌，說：「如果你要把我們趕出去，就叫我們進入這群豬裡面去吧。」

鬼求之曰、若逐我、則遣入豕羣、

群魔懇曰：『必欲驅我出、請發我入豕群。』

So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

耶稣问他：“你的名字叫什么？”他说：“群”；这是因为附着他的鬼多。鬼就央求耶稣不要命令他们到无底坑里去。那里有一大群猪正在山坡上吃食，鬼央求耶稣准他们进入猪里；耶稣准了他们。于是鬼从那人出来，进入猪里，那群猪就闯下山崖，投进湖里，淹死了。

我又看见一位天使从天降下，手里拿着无底坑的钥匙和一条大铁链。他抓住那龙，那古蛇，就是魔鬼、撒但，把它捆绑了一千年，

污灵就央求耶稣，说：“求你打发我们进入猪群，好附着它们。”

大声呼叫说：“至高神的儿子耶稣，你为什么干扰我？我指着神恳求你，不要叫我受苦！”

所以，诸天和住在其中的，你们都快乐吧！只是地和海有祸了！因为魔鬼知道自己的时候不多，就气愤愤地下到你们那里去了。”
