那些鬼魔就央求耶穌，說：「如果你要把我們趕出去，就叫我們進入這群豬裡面去吧。」

群魔懇曰：『必欲驅我出、請發我入豕群。』

“ What is your name?” Jesus asked him.“ Legion,” he said— because many demons had entered him.And they begged Him not to banish them to the abyss.A large herd of pigs was there, feeding on the hillside. The demons begged Him to permit them to enter the pigs, and He gave them permission.The demons came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned.

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the abyss and a great chain in his hand.He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years.

The demons begged Him,“ Send us to the pigs, so we may enter them.”

And he cried out with a loud voice,“ What do You have to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You before God, don’t torment me!”

Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the earth and the sea, for the Devil has come down to you with great fury, because he knows he has a short time.
