舟抵熱辣瑟境、與加利利遙遙相望。耶穌甫登岸、鎮中有人迎面至；是人久為鬼魔所憑、不衣不廬、素寓塚中、一見耶穌、即驚呼而跪伏其前、揚聲而言曰：『至尊天主之子耶穌、吾與汝何干？祈毋相苦。』蓋耶穌命邪魔脫離其人也。而魔之屢憑此人、由來已久；雖繫以鐵索、械以桎梏、輒自折斷而為魔逐至曠野。耶穌乃問之曰：『爾何名？』對曰：『繁有徒』；以魔之入其身者甚夥、故云。眾魔哀求耶穌、勿投諸不測之淵。適有豕群、放牧山坡、魔求入豕身、耶穌允之；群魔乃離其人入豕群。豕忽闖下山坡、投淵而溺。牧豕者見之、奔告城鄉居民；眾出觀其事、至耶穌處、則見甫脫於魔者、正襟危坐耶穌足前、神志清明、眾皆駭絕。目擊者遂以此人見療事、一一為眾述之。熱辣瑟四境居民、皆惴焉而懼、共懇耶穌離境；耶穌乃登舟以返。惟脫魔者求與偕往、耶穌遣之歸、屬曰：『且回家以傳揚天主施汝之洪恩。』其人往、徧歷城厢、廣傳耶穌所行神迹。

既濟、抵熱辣瑟境、甫登岸、有為穢魔所憑者自塚間出迎。是人素居墓中、雖鐵索亦不足以繫之、蓋一加鐵索、即斷索毀梏、莫之能制也。盤居山塚、日夜叫囂、復以石自擊、體無完膚。遙見耶穌、趨前拜跪、揚聲呼曰：『至尊天主之子耶穌、我與爾何涉、叨賴天主、幸勿相苦。』蓋耶穌命之曰：『穢魔、其離此人！』問其名、對曰：『吾名繁有徒、以吾黨極眾故耳。』且懇耶穌勿逐之出境。適有豕群放牧鄰坡、魔因乞曰：『縱我入豕群可乎。』耶穌許之。魔出、投入豕身、群豕自坡突奔、投海而溺、數約二千。諸牧者倉皇而逸、徧告邑村。眾出視、至耶穌所在、見患魔者整襟危坐、神志清明、不勝駭怖。目擊者且為眾道其始末。眾乃懇耶穌出境。耶穌復登舟、患魔者求之、欲常得追隨左右、不許、曰：『好自回家、與家人完聚、並以上主對爾所行及加爾之慈惠、向彼傳述可耳。』其人去至代加保利、宣揚耶穌洪恩、聞者莫不稱奇。

天主沐以聖神、充以神力、足跡所至仁澤是施、脫人於魔、而賜以康復。以天主恆與之偕也。

聲名洋溢乎敘利亞。凡舁染恙、患病、負痛、中魔、顛癇、癱痿者至前、悉救治之。
