And He said to them,“ Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” And they launched out.But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy.And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying,“ Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.But He said to them,“ Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another,“ Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”

Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him.And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him,“ Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea,“ Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.But He said to them,“ Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another,“ Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

So He got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own city.

Jesus answered and said to them,“ Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them.
