The next mornin g Jesus departed and went to a deserted place. Yet the crowds were seeking him, and they came to him and tried to keep him from leaving them.But Jesus said to them,“ I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns too, for that is what I was sent to do.”

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he dispersed the crowds.

When Jesus had crossed again in a boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he was by the sea.

Then he left them, got back into the boat, and went to the other side.

After he came down from the mountain, large crowds followed him.

Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dispersed the crowd.

Then Jesus got up early in the morning when it was still very dark, departed, and went out to a deserted place, and there he spent time in prayer.Simon and his companions searched for him.When they found him, they said,“ Everyone is looking for you.”He replied,“ Let us go elsewhere, into the surrounding villages, so that I can preach there too. For that is what I came out here to do.”
