日落的時候、凡有病人、無論患甚麼疾病、人都把病人帶到耶穌那裏；耶穌都給他們每一個人按手，治好他們。

耶穌出來，看見一大羣人，就憐憫他們，治好了他們的病人。

當下有一個被鬼附着、又瞎又啞的人被帶到耶穌跟前；耶穌治好了他，以致那啞巴能說話，也能看見。

甚至有人將病人也抬出來到大街上，放在小床上或鋪蓋上，讓彼得來的時候、至少那影兒也可以蔭庇着他們一些人。

因為耶穌曾對他說過：『污靈，從這人身上出來！』

到了傍晚、日落的時候，人帶着一切有病的和被鬼附的到他那裏，全城都聚集在門前。耶穌治好了許多有各種疾病的人，又趕許多鬼；不許鬼說話，因為他們認識他。

那時有幾個來往各處、念咒趕鬼的猶太人也着手向有惡靈在身的人稱起主耶穌的名來，說：『我指着保羅所宣傳的耶穌誓逐你們！』有一個猶太人士基瓦，是「祭司長」，他的七個兒子就是這樣行的。惡靈卻回答他們說：『耶穌我認識，保羅我知道；你們呢、是誰？』有惡靈在身的那個人就撲在他們身上，制伏了兩個，勝過他們，以致他們都從那屋子裏逃出來，赤着身子，受了傷。

耶穌在全加利利周遊着，在他們的會堂裏教訓人，宣傳天國的福音，治好了民間的各樣疾病、各樣病症。他的名聲傳出去，到了全敍利亞；人把一切有病的、給各種疾病疼痛困迫的、被鬼附的、癲癇的、癱瘓的、都帶了來；耶穌都治好了他們。

有人來了，帶着一個癱子要見耶穌，是給四個人抬着的。

有人帶着一個癱子躺在床上到他跟前來。耶穌見了他們的信心，就對癱子說：『孩子，放膽吧；你的罪赦了。』

耶穌斥責他說：『不要作聲！從他身上出來！』污靈抽了他一陣瘋，大聲呼喊，就從他身上出來了。眾人都驚訝，以致彼此討論說：『這是甚麼？新教訓啊！帶着權柄啊！他吩咐污靈，污靈竟聽從他！』

餵的人逃跑，往城裏去，將一切事和被鬼附的人的事都傳報開了。

耶穌看見羣眾一同跑上來，就斥責那污靈，對他說：『不能說話和耳聾的靈啊，我吩咐你從他身上出來，再不要進去。』
