日落的時候，不論害甚麼病的人，都被帶到耶穌那裡；他一一為他們按手，醫好他們。

耶穌上了岸，看見一大群人，就憐憫他們，醫好了他們的病人。

有人帶了一個被鬼附著、又瞎又啞的人到耶穌那裡。耶穌醫好了他，那啞巴就能說話，也能看見了。

甚至有人把病人抬到街上，放在小床和褥子上，好讓彼得經過時，至少他的身影可以落在一些人身上。

因為當時耶穌吩咐他：“你這污靈，從這人身上出來！”

到了黃昏，有人不斷把生病的和被鬼附的，都帶到耶穌面前。全城的人都聚集在門口。耶穌醫好了各樣的病，也趕出許多的鬼，並且不許鬼說話，因為鬼認識他。

那時，有幾個趕鬼的猶太人，周遊各處，擅自用主耶穌的名，向身上有邪靈的人說：“我奉保羅所傳的耶穌的名，命令你們出來。”有一個猶太人士基瓦，是祭司長，他的七個兒子都作這事。邪靈回答他們：“耶穌我認識，保羅我也知道；你們是誰？”邪靈所附的那人就撲到他們身上，制伏了兩人，勝過了他們，使他們赤著身帶著傷，從那房子逃了出來。

耶穌走遍加利利，在各會堂裡教導人，宣揚天國的福音，醫治民間各種疾病、各種病症。他的名聲傳遍了敘利亞全地，人們就把一切患病的，就是患各種疾病、疼痛、鬼附、癲癇、癱瘓的，都帶到他面前，他就醫好他們。

那時有人把一個癱子帶到耶穌那裡，是由四個人抬來的。

有人把一個躺在床上的癱子帶到他那裡。耶穌看見他們的信心，就對癱子說：“孩子，放心！你的罪赦了。”

耶穌斥責他說：“住口！從他身上出來！”污靈使那人抽瘋，大聲喊叫，就從他身上出來了。眾人都很驚訝，於是彼此對問說：“這是怎麼一回事？是個有權能的新道理啊！他吩咐污靈，污靈竟服從了他！”

放豬的人逃進城裡，把被鬼附的人的遭遇和一切事情，都報告出來。

耶穌看見群眾圍攏了來，就斥責那污鬼說：“聾啞的鬼，我吩咐你從他身上出來，不要再進去。”
