And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.

After he left the synagogue, he entered Simon’s house. Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked him about her.So he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up immediately and began to serve them.When the sun was setting, all those who had anyone sick with various diseases brought them to him. As he laid his hands on each one of them, he healed them.Also, demons were coming out of many, shouting and saying,“ You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah.

Don’t we have the right to be accompanied by a believing wife like the other apostles, the Lord’s brothers, and Cephas?

“ Yes,” he said. When he went into the house, Jesus spoke to him first,“ What do you think, Simon? From whom do earthly kings collect tariffs or taxes? From their sons or from strangers?”

They forbid marriage and demand abstinence from foods that God created to be received with gratitude by those who believe and know the truth.

Jesus told him,“ Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

An overseer, therefore, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, self-controlled, sensible, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,

Marriage is to be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, because God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
