I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

I tell you, many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,

And I tell you this, that many Gentiles will come from all over the world— from east and west— and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven.

斯旨無他、即因福音之傳、而萬邦之人、已得於基督耶穌庇蔭之下、同為嗣子、融成一體、共享恩諾是已。

爾見亞伯漢依灑格雅谷伯及眾先知皆在天主國中、惟爾見擯於外、則必哀哭切齒矣。當時必有群眾、集自東西南北、咸得坐宴天主國中、

與伯鐸祿偕來之信徒、割禮中人也；見聖神之恩賜、亦傾注於異邦人之身、殊為詫異、

既至、召集會眾、縷述天主假手所行諸事；且謂天主已為異邦人洞開信道之門矣。

眾聞是語、悉皆默契而歸榮天主、曰：『由是觀之、天主普賜洪恩於異族、使由悔改而獲生命矣。』

故無論猶太人也、希臘人也、奴也主也、男也女也、悉在基督耶穌之身、融為一體矣。夫爾等既屬基督即為亞伯漢之裔、亦即承恩諾之嗣子也。

識之哉、吾立於門而叩焉；如有聞吾之音而啟其戶者、吾必進而就之、且與之同食而對酌焉。凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、吾必賜其與吾同坐於吾位之上、亦如吾之終克致勝而獲與吾父同坐於厥位之上也。

遣天神吹角、發音洪亮、集簡選之人於四方、自天此極、至天彼極。

爾在血統上為外邦人、且一般曾身受人為之割禮者、咸呼爾為未割之民。爾應恆念昔時爾本與基督相隔、處於義塞社會之外、於盟約恩諾為局外人、在世無所仰望、不識天主。今則不然、爾托耶穌基督之恩、藉其聖血、已得化疏為親矣。蓋基督者、吾人之協和也；身受苦難、以去壁壘之隔、

必使謙謙君子。飲和飽德。懷主之徒。絃歌不絕。心靈日健。永生不滅。

亦欲使異邦人民、感荷天主洪恩、而心歌腹詠焉。經云：『欲在萬民前、鼓琴詠爾名。』又云：『願爾萬邦民、咸同義塞樂。』又云：『萬邦共稱主、億兆齊頌美。』而意灑雅書亦曰：『葉瑟之根苗、掘興治萬邦；萬邦所依恃生靈所仰望。』天主乃希望之泉源、爾等信之、必得飽嘗神樂及平安、且憑聖神之力、而懷無窮之望焉。

無何、丐死、天神送諸亞伯漢懷中。富翁亦死、葬後慘受地獄之苦、

蓋天主公平之睿斷、於此已見端倪。正惟爾等為天主之國受苦、是天主以爾等為克承其國也。

屬亞塞爾支者、一萬二千名；屬挪夫達利支者、一萬二千名；屬瑪納瑟支者、一萬二千名；屬西默翁支者、一萬二千名；

『汝其悔悟、天國伊邇。』

主曰：「出至大路、及藩籬之間、強人來進、務使濟濟一堂。予實語爾、前所柬請者、將無一人得嘗吾席上珍味也。」』

然按諸事實、基督固已自死者中復活、而為眾寢者先薦之果矣。

救恩被邇遐。舉世所目擊。

既云新人、則不復分異邦人與猶太人、割禮中人與非割禮中人、化外人與西古提人、為奴之人與自由之人矣。蓋基督包羅萬有、而寓乎萬有也、

寧不知為不義者必不得承天主之國乎？幸毋自欺！凡行淫亂、拜偶像、犯奸惡、為孌童、親男色、

勸眾堅心、信道勿移、曰：『吾人欲入天主之國、必須經歷多難。』

主至、見僕儆醒、斯僕福矣。予實語爾、主且酬以盛筵、躬自束帶而供役矣。
