“ And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?

Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye?Or how can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

But a prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out before the army that came to Samaria, and said to them:“ Look, because the Lord God of your fathers was angry with Judah, He has delivered them into your hand; but you have killed them in a rage that reaches up to heaven.And now you propose to force the children of Judah and Jerusalem to be your male and female slaves; but are you not also guilty before the Lord your God?
