忍受試煉的人有福了，因為他經過考驗以後必得生命的冠冕，這是主應許給愛他之人的。

使你們的信心既被考驗，就比那被火試煉仍然能壞的金子更顯寶貴，可以在耶穌基督顯現的時候得着稱讚、榮耀、尊貴。

倚靠耶和華的人好像錫安山，安穩坐鎮，永不動搖。眾山怎樣圍繞耶路撒冷，耶和華也照樣圍繞他的百姓，從今時直到永遠。

就是為你們這些藉着信、蒙上帝大能保守的人，能獲得他所預備、到末世要顯現的救恩。

照着你們所領受的教導，在他裏面生根建造，信心堅固，充滿着感謝的心。

各人的工程必將顯露，因為那日子要將它顯明，有火把它暴露出來，這火要試煉各人的工程怎樣。人在那根基上所建造的工程若能保得住，他將要得賞賜。人的工程若被燒了，他將損失，雖然他自己將得救，卻要像從火裏經過一樣。

堅固門徒的心，勸他們持守他們的信仰，說：「我們進入上帝的國，必須經歷許多艱難。」

所以你要對那些粉刷的人說：『牆要倒塌，暴雨漫過。你們大冰雹啊，要降下，狂風要吹裂這牆。』看哪，這牆倒塌，人豈不是要問你們說：『你們所粉刷的在哪裏呢？』」所以主耶和華如此說：「我要發怒，使狂風吹裂它，在怒中令暴雨漫過，又發怒降下大冰雹，毀壞它。我要這樣拆毀你們那粉飾的牆，把它夷為平地，以致根基露出；牆一倒塌，你們也要在其中滅亡。你們就知道我是耶和華。我要對牆和粉刷它的人發盡我的憤怒，我要對你們說：『牆沒有了！粉刷它的人也沒有了！』這就是以色列的先知，他們指着耶路撒冷說預言，見到這城平安的異象，其實沒有平安。這是主耶和華說的。」

他們栽於耶和華的殿中，發旺在我們上帝的院裏。他們髮白的時候仍結果子，而且鮮美多汁，好顯明耶和華是正直的；他是我的磐石，在他毫無不義。

他必坐下如煉淨銀子的人，必潔淨利未人，熬煉他們像金銀一樣；他們就憑公義獻供物給耶和華。

我還告訴你，你是彼得，我要把我的教會建造在這磐石上，陰間的權柄不能勝過它。

又要他使基督因着你們的信住在你們心裏，使你們既在愛中生根立基，
