在试炼中能够忍耐到底的人有福了，因为他若经得起考验，就会得到主应许赐给爱祂之人的生命冠冕。

这样，你们的信心经过试验便显明是真实的，比那经过火炼仍会坏掉的金子更加宝贵，使你们可以在耶稣基督显现时得到称赞、荣耀和尊贵。

信靠耶和华的人就像锡安山永不动摇。群山怎样环绕耶路撒冷，耶和华也怎样保护祂的子民，从现在直到永远。

你们这些因信而蒙上帝用大能保守的人，必能得到那已经预备好、在末世要显明的救恩。

按照你们所受的教导在祂里面扎根成长，信心坚固，满怀感恩。

每个人的工程将来都会显明出来，因为到了审判的日子，必用火试验各人工程的品质。人在这根基上所建造的工程若经得起考验，他必获得奖赏。人的工程若被烧毁了，他必遭受损失，自己虽然可以得救，却像火里逃生一样。

坚固各地门徒的信心，鼓励他们要持守信仰，并且说：“我们在进入上帝国的道路上必经历许多苦难。”

所以，你要警告那些粉刷白灰的人，说，‘墙必倒塌，暴雨要来临，冰雹势必降下，狂风也必大作。’墙倒塌之后，一定会有人问，‘你们粉饰的白灰在哪里呢？’主耶和华说，‘我必在烈怒中用狂风暴雨和冰雹来摧毁这墙，我必把你们粉饰的墙夷为平地，使其露出根基。墙倒塌的时候，你们必葬身其中。这样，你们就知道我是耶和华。我要向这墙和粉饰这墙的人发怒，惩罚他们。我告诉你们，这墙完了！粉饰这墙的人也完了！’他们就是那些向耶路撒冷说假预言，在没有平安的时候宣称看到了平安异象的以色列先知。这是主耶和华说的。”

他们栽在耶和华的殿中，他们在我们上帝的院子里长得枝繁叶茂。他们到老仍然结果子，一片青翠，宣扬说：“耶和华公正无私，祂是我的磐石，祂里面毫无不义。”

祂要坐下来，像炼净银子的人那样洁净利未的子孙，像熬炼金银一样熬炼他们，使他们凭公义向耶和华献祭。

我告诉你，你是彼得，我要在这磐石上建立我的教会，阴间的势力不能胜过它。

使基督借着你们的信心住在你们心里，使你们在爱中扎根、坚立，
