Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

「所以，凡聽見我這話就去行的，好比一個聰明人，把房子蓋在磐石上；

「所以，凡聽了我這些話又去做的，好比一個聰明人把房子蓋在磐石上。

「所以，凡聽了我這些話又去做的，好比一個聰明人把房子蓋在磐石上。

「所以，凡聽了我的這些話就去行的人，就像聰明人把房子建在磐石上。

“所以，凡聽見我這些話又遵行的，就像聰明的人，把自己的房子蓋在磐石上。

『所以凡聽我這些話而實行的，好比一個精明的人，把他的房子建造在磐石上。

「因此，凡是聽了我這些話而實行的人，就好比一個聰明的人把自己的房子建在磐石上。

凡聞我言而行之者、譬諸智人、建屋磐上、

聞吾言而行之者、譬彼智人、建屋磐上、

故凡聞我此言而行之者、我譬之智人、建屋於磐上、

是以聞道而能篤實履踐者、譬諸有識者建屋於磐石之上、

“ Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

“ So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock.

“ Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

“ Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

“ Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock.

“ Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on rock.

“ Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

But he said, Yea rather, blessed[ are] they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent[ them] out another way?For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do[ his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth[ therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion[ is] vain.Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,[ and] to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that[ is] wisdom; and to depart from evil[ is] understanding.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world,[ even] our faith.Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

The wisdom of the prudent[ is] to understand his way: but the folly of fools[ is] deceit.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide[ is] the gate, and broad[ is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:Because strait[ is] the gate, and narrow[ is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Blessed[ are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed[ are] they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.Blessed[ are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.Blessed[ are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.Blessed[ are] the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.Blessed[ are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God.Blessed[ are] the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.Blessed[ are] they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are ye, when[ men] shall revile you, and persecute[ you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great[ is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast[ it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not[ that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast[ it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not[ that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Who will render to every man according to his deeds:To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies[ are] my meditation.

Blessed[ are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.For without[ are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Who[ is] a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.This wisdom descendeth not from above, but[ is] earthly, sensual, devilish.For where envying and strife[ is], there[ is] confusion and every evil work.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,[ and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
