“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock.

『所以凡聽我這些話而實行的，好比一個精明的人，把他的房子建造在磐石上。

「因此，凡是聽了我這些話而實行的人，就好比一個聰明的人把自己的房子建在磐石上。

凡聞我言而行之者、譬諸智人、建屋磐上、

聞吾言而行之者、譬彼智人、建屋磐上、

故凡聞我此言而行之者、我譬之智人、建屋於磐上、

是以聞道而能篤實履踐者、譬諸有識者建屋於磐石之上、

“ Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

“ So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock.

“ Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

“ Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

“ Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

“ Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on rock.

“ Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.

I will show you what someone is like who comes to Me, hears My words, and acts on them:He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the river crashed against that house and couldn’t shake it, because it was well built.But the one who hears and does not act is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The river crashed against it, and immediately it collapsed. And the destruction of that house was great!”

If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

He said,“ Even more, those who hear the word of God and keep it are blessed!”

According to God’s grace that was given to me, I have laid a foundation as a skilled master builder, and another builds on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it.For no one can lay any other foundation than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ.

In the same way faith, if it doesn’t have works, is dead by itself.But someone will say,“ You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith from my works.You believe that God is one; you do well. The demons also believe— and they shudder.Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was perfected.So the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness, and he was called God’s friend.You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.And in the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by a different route?For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.

“ If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

You are My friends if you do what I command you.

A wise heart accepts commands, but foolish lips will be destroyed.

Therefore, ridding yourselves of all moral filth and evil, humbly receive the implanted word, which is able to save you.But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror.For he looks at himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but one who does good works— this person will be blessed in what he does.If anyone thinks he is religious without controlling his tongue, then his religion is useless and he deceives himself.Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

“ Don’t collect for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.But collect for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves don’t break in and steal.For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, that person is My brother and sister and mother.”

Judas( not Iscariot) said to Him,“ Lord, how is it You’re going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”Jesus answered,“ If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.The one who doesn’t love Me will not keep My words. The word that you hear is not Mine but is from the Father who sent Me.

If you keep My commands you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and remain in His love.

He said to mankind,“ The fear of the Lord is this: wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.”

Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap,because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

The revelation of Your words brings light and gives understanding to the inexperienced.

For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden,because whatever has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world: our faith.And who is the one who conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

The sensible man’s wisdom is to consider his way, but the stupidity of fools deceives them.

“ Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.

“ Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

“ The poor in spirit are blessed, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.Those who mourn are blessed, for they will be comforted.The gentle are blessed, for they will inherit the earth.Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed, for they will be filled.The merciful are blessed, for they will be shown mercy.The pure in heart are blessed, for they will see God.The peacemakers are blessed, for they will be called sons of God.Those who are persecuted for righteousness are blessed, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.“ You are blessed when they insult and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of Me.Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision accomplishes anything; what matters is faith working through love.You were running well. Who prevented you from obeying the truth?

But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole body to go into hell!“ It was also said, Whoever divorces his wife must give her a written notice of divorce.But I tell you, everyone who divorces his wife, except in a case of sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

He will repay each one according to his works:eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality;but wrath and indignation to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth but are obeying unrighteousness;affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek;

I have more insight than all my teachers because Your decrees are my meditation.

“ Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates.Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.

Who is wise and has understanding among you? He should show his works by good conduct with wisdom’s gentleness.But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t brag and deny the truth.Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without favoritism and hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.

“ For if you forgive people their wrongdoing, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well.But if you don’t forgive people, your Father will not forgive your wrongdoing.
