Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.

“ Either make the tree good and its fruit will be good, or make the tree bad and its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.Brood of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.A good person produces good things from his storeroom of good, and an evil person produces evil things from his storeroom of evil.

Planted in the house of the LORD, they thrive in the courts of our God.They will still bear fruit in old age, healthy and green,

for the fruit of the light consists of all goodness, righteousness, and truth—

He is like a tree planted beside flowing streams that bears its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God,

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.

So now, residents of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.What more could I have done for my vineyard than I did? Why, when I expected a yield of good grapes, did it yield worthless grapes?Now I will tell you what I am about to do to my vineyard: I will remove its hedge, and it will be consumed; I will tear down its wall, and it will be trampled.

And he told this parable:“ A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He came looking for fruit on it and found none.He told the vineyard worker,‘ Listen, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it even waste the soil?’“ But he replied to him,‘ Sir, leave it this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.Perhaps it will produce fruit next year, but if not, you can cut it down.’”

for I was like a docile lamb led to slaughter. I didn’t know that they had devised plots against me:“ Let’s destroy the tree with its fruit; let’s cut him off from the land of the living so that his name will no longer be remembered.”

to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the LORD to glorify him.

He will be like a tree planted by water: it sends its roots out toward a stream, it doesn’t fear when heat comes, and its foliage remains green. It will not worry in a year of drought or cease producing fruit.

These people are dangerous reefs at your love feasts as they eat with you without reverence. They are shepherds who only look after themselves. They are waterless clouds carried along by winds; trees in late autumn— fruitless, twice dead and uprooted.
