And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them,“ If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Isaiah cries out concerning Israel,“ Though the number of the sons of Israel may be like the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved;for the Lord will execute His word on the earth, thoroughly and quickly.”And just as Isaiah foretold:“ If the Lord of armies had not left us descendants, We would have become like Sodom, and would have been like Gomorrah.”

who once were disobedient when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water.Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you— not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience— through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.

Watch the path of your feet, And all your ways will be established.Do not turn to the right or to the left; Turn your foot from evil.

They will ban you from the synagogue, yet an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering a service to God.

So the last shall be first, and the first, last.”
