Get away from Me, all you workers of unrighteousness!’There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in that place, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves thrown out.They will come from east and west, from north and south, and recline at the table in the kingdom of God.Note this: Some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”

Summoning the crowd along with His disciples, He said to them,“ If anyone wants to be My follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

A road will be there and a way; it will be called the Holy Way. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for the one who walks the path. Even the fool will not go astray.

Then Jesus said to His disciples,“ If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it.

and whenever you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you:“ This is the way. Walk in it.”

This is what the Lord says: Stand by the roadways and look. Ask about the ancient paths: Which is the way to what is good? Then take it and find rest for yourselves. But they protested,“ We won’t!”

But Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: Though the number of Israel’s sons is like the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved;for the Lord will execute His sentence completely and decisively on the earth.And just as Isaiah predicted: If the Lord of Hosts had not left us offspring, we would have become like Sodom, and we would have been made like Gomorrah.

who in the past were disobedient, when God patiently waited in the days of Noah while an ark was being prepared. Don’t be afraid, little flock, because your Father delights to give you the kingdom.

Carefully consider the path for your feet, and all your ways will be established.Don’t turn to the right or to the left; keep your feet away from evil.

They will ban you from the synagogues. In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering service to God.

“ So the last will be first, and the first last.”

Why is that? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.
