Get away from me, all you evildoers!’There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in that place, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves thrown out.They will come from east and west, from north and south, to share the banquet in the kingdom of God.Note this: Some who are last will be first, and some who are first will be last.”

“ For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

Calling the crowd along with his disciples, he said to them,“ If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Don’t be afraid, little flock, because your Father delights to give you the kingdom.

Carefully consider the path for your feet, and all your ways will be established.Don’t turn to the right or to the left; keep your feet away from evil.

They will ban you from the synagogues. In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering service to God.

“ So the last will be first, and the first last.”

Why is that? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.
