夫以爾之不仁、尚知以美物貽爾子女、況爾在天之父、詎能不賜求之者以佳惠乎？

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

“ Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he?If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins,in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience.We also all once lived among them in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—

But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.

Yahweh smelled the pleasant aroma. Yahweh said in his heart,“ I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth. I will never again strike every living thing, as I have done.

Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was continually only evil.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.As it is written,“ He has scattered abroad. He has given to the poor. His righteousness remains forever.”Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness,you being enriched in everything to all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.For this service of giving that you perform not only makes up for lack among the saints, but abounds also through much giving of thanks to God,seeing that through the proof given by this service, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the Good News of Christ and for the generosity of your contribution to them and to all,while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, yearn for you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!

“ Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!

Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.

“ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh.“ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The angel said to them,“ Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

“ A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father, then where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is the respect due me? Says Yahweh of Armies to you, priests, who despise my name. You say,‘ How have we despised your name?’

Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed,“ Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children’s children, on the third and on the fourth generation.”

But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God’s wrath through him.For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.

“ How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within me, my compassion is aroused.I will not execute the fierceness of my anger. I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One among you; and I will not come in wrath.

Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.

What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way. For we previously warned both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.

This was yet a small thing in your eyes, Lord Yahweh; but you have spoken also of your servant’s house for a great while to come; and this among men, Lord Yahweh!

For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.

“ Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh,“ that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.

Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him,“ Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good: so we offer our lips like bulls.

The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it?

But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks iniquity like water!

For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared,not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Yes, Yahweh will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase.
