夫以爾之不仁、尚知以美物貽爾子女、況爾在天之父、詎能不賜求之者以佳惠乎？

What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish?Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD grants favor and honor; he does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity.

For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

And you were dead in your trespasses and sinsin which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient.We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us,made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth.

For you, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive, abounding in faithful love to all who call on you.

When the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, he said to himself,“ I will never again curse the ground because of human beings, even though the inclination of the human heart is evil from youth onward. And I will never again strike down every living thing as I have done.

When the LORD saw that human wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every inclination of the human mind was nothing but evil all the time,

And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.As it is written: He distributed freely; he gave to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone.And as they pray on your behalf, they will have deep affection for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

“ Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the child of her womb? Even if these forget, yet I will not forget you.

The LORD passed in front of him and proclaimed: The LORD— the LORD is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth,maintaining faithful love to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion, and sin. But he will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generation.

But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.How much more then, since we have now been justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from wrath.For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.

How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? I have had a change of heart; my compassion is stirred!I will not vent the full fury of my anger; I will not turn back to destroy Ephraim. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his faithful love toward those who fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.

“ Look, the days are coming”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ when I will fulfill the good promise that I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

Take words of repentance with you and return to the LORD. Say to him,“ Forgive all our iniquity and accept what is good, so that we may repay you with praise from our lips.

The heart is more deceitful than anything else, and incurable— who can understand it?

But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin’s power, so that the promise might be given on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ to those who believe.

how much less one who is revolting and corrupt, who drinks injustice like water?

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared,he saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy— through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.He poured out his Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviorso that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Also, the LORD will provide what is good, and our land will yield its crops.
