Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

“ This, then, is how you should pray:“‘ Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

Pray then like this:“ Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

“ Therefore, you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy.

“ Pray, then, in this way:‘ Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

“ Therefore, you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, Your name be honored as holy.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

So pray this way: Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored,

Pray like this:‘ Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said,“ Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”Jesus said,“ This is how you should pray:“ Father, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon.Give us each day the food we need,and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation.”

“ You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

I will show how holy my great name is— the name on which you brought shame among the nations. And when I reveal my holiness through you before their very eyes, says the Sovereign Lord, then the nations will know that I am the Lord.

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him,“ Abba, Father.”

But my name is honored by people of other nations from morning till night. All around the world they offer sweet incense and pure offerings in honor of my name. For my name is great among the nations,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

He has paid a full ransom for his people. He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever. What a holy, awe inspiring name he has!

The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this:“ I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.

Then the leaders of the Levites— Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah— called out to the people:“ Stand up and praise the Lord your God, for he lives from everlasting to everlasting!” Then they prayed:“ May your glorious name be praised! May it be exalted above all blessing and praise!

Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things.

And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out,“ Abba, Father.”

And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.

They were calling out to each other,“ Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!”

Mark my words— I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”

Surely you are still our Father! Even if Abraham and Jacob would disown us, Lord, you would still be our Father. You are our Redeemer from ages past.

then hear from heaven where you live, and grant what they ask of you. In this way, all the people of the earth will come to know and fear you, just as your own people Israel do. They, too, will know that this Temple I have built honors your name.

For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the Lord.

And they sang in a mighty chorus:“ Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered— to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.”

And don’t address anyone here on earth as‘ Father,’ for only God in heaven is your Father.

He prayed,“ O Lord, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven. You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you!

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord— his name alone will be worshiped.

In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

I will go home to my father and say,“ Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you,

Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes.

He alone can never die, and he lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach him. No human eye has ever seen him, nor ever will. All honor and power to him forever! Amen.

“ Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”

In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

His son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.’

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place?

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ This is what the Lord meant when he said,‘ I will display my holiness through those who come near me. I will display my glory before all the people.’” And Aaron was silent.

And may your name be established and honored forever so that everyone will say,‘ The Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, is Israel’s God!’ And may the house of your servant David continue before you forever.

And may your name be honored forever so that everyone will say,‘ The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is God over Israel!’ And may the house of your servant David continue before you forever.

And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as“ temporary residents.”

This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead.

I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

“ Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said,“ for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

“ If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.

Then Jesus left them a second time and prayed,“ My Father! If this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will be done.”

But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.“ Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.

What is the price of two sparrows— one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.

But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Now, O Lord our God, rescue us from his power; then all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you alone, O Lord, are God.”
