One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him,“ Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”He said to them,“ When you pray, say:“‘ Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.Give us each day our daily bread.Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.’” (niv)

“ You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” (niv)

I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy through you before their eyes. (niv)

Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. (niv)

Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out,“ Abba, Father.” (niv)

Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. (niv)

And they were calling to one another:“ Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” (niv)

I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” (niv)

But you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; you, Lord, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name. (niv)

then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name. (niv)

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. (niv)

“ The son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? (niv)

Moses then said to Aaron,“ This is what the Lord spoke of when he said:“‘ Among those who approach me I will be proved holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.’” Aaron remained silent. (niv)

so that it will be established and that your name will be great forever. Then people will say,‘ The Lord Almighty, the God over Israel, is Israel’s God!’ And the house of your servant David will be established before you. (niv)

Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. (niv)

Paul, an apostle— sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— (niv)

To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. (niv)

He went away a second time and prayed,“ My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.” (niv)

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.“ Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. (niv)

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. (niv)

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (niv)

Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, Lord, are the only God.” (niv)
