然而我告訴你們，就是所羅門極榮華的時候，他所穿戴的，還不如這花一朵呢！

但我告訴你們，就是所羅門最威榮的時候所穿的，也比不上這花中的一朵。

然而我告訴你們，就是所羅門在他極盛的榮華裏，還沒有披戴過像這些花的一朵呢。

但是我告訴你們：就連所羅門在他最榮耀的時候，所穿戴的也不如這些花中的一朵。

我語汝、當所羅門榮華之極、所衣不及此花之一也、

我語汝、當所羅門榮華之極、其衣不及此花之一、

我告爾、即所羅門極榮華時、其服飾不及此花之一、

第吾語爾、即以所羅門之黼黻文章、盛極一時者、視一朵玉簪、猶有遜色。

Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

But here is what I tell you. Not even Solomon in all his royal robes was dressed like one of these flowers.

yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.

Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these.

yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.

and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these!

All of King Solomon’s cups were made of gold, and all the household items in the Palace of the Lebanon Forest were made of pure gold. There were no silver items, for silver was not considered very valuable in Solomon’s time.The king had a fleet of large merchant ships manned by Huram’s men that sailed the sea. Once every three years the fleet came into port with cargoes of gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.King Solomon was wealthier and wiser than any of the kings of the earth.

when they see your pure and reverent conduct.Let your beauty not be external– the braiding of hair and wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes–but the inner person of the heart, the lasting beauty of a gentle and tranquil spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.For in the same way the holy women who hoped in God long ago adorned themselves by being subject to their husbands,

the food in his banquet hall, his servants and attendants in their robes, his cupbearers in their robes, and his burnt sacrifices which he presented in the LORD’s temple, she was amazed.She said to the king,“ The report I heard in my own country about your wise sayings and insight was true!I did not believe these things until I came and saw them with my own eyes. Indeed, I didn’t hear even half the story! Your wisdom surpasses what was reported to me.

When the queen of Sheba saw for herself Solomon’s extensive wisdom, the palace he had built,the food in his banquet hall, his servants and attendants, their robes, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings which he presented in the LORD’s temple, she was amazed.She said to the king,“ The report I heard in my own country about your wise sayings and insight was true!I did not believe these things until I came and saw them with my own eyes. Indeed, I didn’t hear even half the story! Your wisdom and wealth surpass what was reported to me.

Likewise the women are to dress in suitable apparel, with modesty and self- control. Their adornment must not be with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive clothing,but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God.
