你们当中谁能因着忧虑使自己的寿命延长一刻呢？

你們哪一個能用思慮使壽數多加一刻呢？

你們哪一個能藉着憂慮使壽數多加一刻呢？

你們哪一個能藉着憂慮使壽數多加一刻呢？

你們誰能用憂慮使自己多活片刻呢？

你們中間誰能用憂慮使自己的壽命延長一刻呢？

你們中間誰能用掛慮使他的歲數多加一刻鐘呢？

你們當中誰能因著憂慮使自己的壽命延長一刻呢？

爾曹誰能以思慮延生一刻乎、

爾曹誰能以思慮延命一刻乎、

爾曹中孰能以思慮延命一刻乎、

且爾中孰能憑其思慮、而自延尺寸之壽命？

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Can you add even one hour to your life by worrying?

And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?

And which of you by worrying can add a single day to his life’s span?

Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?

Can any of you add a single cubit to his height by worrying?

And which of you by worrying can add even one hour to his life?

“ Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?

I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth[ it], that[ men] should fear before him.

And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

Behold, thou hast made my days[ as] an handbreadth; and mine age[ is] as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state[ is] altogether vanity. Selah.Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up[ riches], and knoweth not who shall gather them.

Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
