爾曹誰能以思慮延生一刻乎、

且爾中孰能憑其思慮、而自延尺寸之壽命？

Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?

Can any of you add a single cubit to his height by worrying?

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

And which of you by worrying can add even one hour to his life?

“ Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?

I know that everything God does will last forever; there is no adding to it or taking from it. God works so that people will be in awe of him.

Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?If then you’re not able to do even a little thing, why worry about the rest?
