稚鴉乏食、飛翔往來、向天主哀鳴、孰為之備食乎、

二雀非一分銀售之乎、若非爾天父之意、其一不隕於地、爾髮亦且見數、故毋懼、爾較群雀貴焉、

萬類皆舉目仰望主、主隨時使其得食、主普施恩惠、使群生得飽、

試思烏鴉不稼不穡、無倉無庫、而天主養之、爾較禽鳥不愈貴乎、爾中孰能以思慮延命一刻乎、至微者爾尚不能、何思慮其餘乎、試思百合花、如何而長、不紡不織、我告爾、即所羅門極榮華之時、其服飾不及此花之一、且夫野草、今日尚存、明日投爐、天主衣被之若此、況爾曹小信者乎、是以勿求何以食、何以飲、亦勿思慮、蓋此皆異邦人所求、爾需此、爾父已知之、爾惟求天主國、則此諸物必加諸爾、二三子勿懼、爾父喜悅以國賜爾、

此皆仰賴主、望主隨時賞賜食物、主一賞賜、便皆拾取、普賜恩惠、便皆得飽、

五雀非二分銀售乎、然在天主前、一雀亦不忘也、即爾首之髮、亦已見數、故勿懼、爾貴於多雀、

爾曹中孰有子求餅而予之石乎、

教我世人、勝於地上走獸、賜我智慧、靈於空中飛鳥、

天主曰、遍地結子之菜蔬、與懷核之樹果、我俱賜爾以為食、至於地上走獸、空中飛鳥、及動於地之諸生物、我賜以青草為食、有如此也、天主視所造者甚善、有夕有朝、是乃六日、

以飲田野之諸獸、野驢亦解其渴、空中飛鳥、棲止其旁、和鳴於樹枝之上、

此皆異邦人所求、爾需此諸物、爾在天之父、已知之矣、
